Abstract
Kenya ratified the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on January 23rd, 1992. Since then, it has domesticated most of the provisions of the Charter through various pieces of legislation. Furthermore, the Constitution of Kenya 2010 provides an extensive and elaborate chapter on the Bill of Rights while also emphasizing their specific application to certain groups including: Children; Persons with disabilities; Youth; Minorities and marginalized groups and; older members of society
