Abstract
Search for Common Ground (Search), one of the largest conflict transformation organizations in the world, works to transform the way the world deals with conflict – away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative solutions. Search has extensive experience with proven results in transforming violent extremism (VE) and supporting security sector reform in more than 12 of its programs worldwide. Realizing the critical need to address VE in Kenya since 2008, Search entered into an agreement with the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) to implement a 24-month project with the overall goal to build increased trust and
collaboration between key community stakeholders to prevent radicalization and violent extremism in coastal Kenya
